Quickly change font size

Select the text that you wish to change, and press F2 to increase the size or SHIFT+F2 to decrease the size.  I like using this more than the Toolbar or Property Box to change text size.

    One advantage this has over the task bar or properties box is that if you select a bunch of text with varying text sizes, this will increase all of the sizes relatively, with the 12pt becoming 11pt and the 10pt becoming 9pt and so on. Very slick, and something I have long enjoyed.

    How can I change the default font (size & font) for email?

    Bill there is no preference that you can set (that I am aware of) you would need to have designer access to your mail file, and you could modify the body field.

    try to define signature file with HTML that will set desired font/size. unfortunately, you have to click inside of attached text to "inherit" font settings when typing.

    @5 Not a bad idea. What you could do is place a few blank lines in the HTML before the signature file, and you could start typing your email after the first blank line. Something like:

    blank line

    <start typing here>

    blank line

    your signature

    The HTML sig line works great. I just used MS Word to set it up and saved as HTML file.

    Thanks for the tip!

    How can I change the default font color and size???

    You can't change the default, but you can use

    Permanent Pen for this.

    For default size, open notes.ini file in the notes flder and add the following line anywhere in the ini file:

    Display_font_adjustment=n

    Here, n is the number of points added to the default size and is a number between -1 and 25. For example, if you want to increase the font size by 3 points, you would type:

    Display_font_adjustment=3

    Caution Using a value of 4 or higher may result in formatting problems. If you need to use fonts that large, it is best to change your display fonts in Windows, which will affect all the programs on your computer, including Notes.

    Save your NOTES.INI file after you add the new font line, and then re-open Notes.

    How to Change Default Font Color in Notes 6.5.5? I looked in the Notes.ini file, but I did not see any line that was specific color. I want to make the change permenanent.

    You can not set a default, but you can define a Permenant Pen http://www.alanlepofsky.net/alepofsky/alanblog.nsf/dx/permanent-pen

    I cannot add a line to the notes.ini file but want to change the display of my Lotus Notes. I havea 20" screen and the inbox text is so tiny......did not want to change Windows font too much as it distorts other displays.....

    Hi Karen, I don't know of a way to change it other than the notes.ini setting, or if you're a developer changing the font in the mail template. I suggest asking the design team at { Link }

    Hi Alan, I write to Buenos Aires, Argentina.

    I need help with Lotus Notes signature. I created my signature in a HTML document. When I insert it into Lotus Notes Preferences, I don't know why, but the size change aoutomatically from 9 to 12, It seems like the LN default size is 12, but for my work is to big and I need it in 9 size. Is there any way to set up the signature size to keep in 9?

    Thanks a lot?

    German

    @10 - that does not work. i have tried many times. making it:

    display_font_adjustment=1

    display_font_adjustment=-2

    i wanted my default font to be a size 8 - default has it at size 10 -- i have added this line to my notes.ini -- DOES NOT WORK at all to make it larger or smaller --- soooo annoying - guess i'll have to use my permanente pen unless someone else has a working suggestion.
